TREKKING IN THE NEPAL HIMALAYAS |
"The best trek and tours operating in Nepal Himalayas "
Annapurna Base camp-14 days lodge trek
Annapurna
Sanctuary is a high glacial basin lying forty kilometers directly north of
Pokhara Nepal 's second famous tourism city, and concealed
within the folds of two great southward projecting ridges of the Annapurna
Massif, lies the secret mountain fastness of the Annapurna Sanctuary. So narrow
is the gateway to this most spectacular high mountain Amphitheatre, Located at
the head of the Modi Khola and squeezed between the peaks of Hiunchuli &
Annapurna south and Macchapuchhre, that it was not until 1956 that any outsider
penetrated its defenses. More recently, the Annapurna Sanctuary has become a
popular trekking destination, and with good reason - It is Easily accessible
from Pokhara and offers tremendous potential for scenic walks and for alpine
exploration, in a splendid high Himalayan setting.
The ring of mountains, which form the rim of the Annapurna Sanctuary, includes
no fewer than eight of over 7000 meters, including Annapurna South, Fang,
Annapurna 1 (8091 meters), Gangapurna, Annapurna 3 and Annapurna 5. The peerless
Macchapuchare completes the ring, only 7 meters below the magical 7000 meters.
The walk-in to the Sanctuary provides a taste of the great variety of landscape
types, which serve to make Nepal such a special trekking destination. Starting
out at Phedi, we encounter sub-tropical heat, pretty villages and neatly
terraced rice fields.
Gaining height gradually, we enjoy several days of pleasant ridge walking with a
mix of abundant forest and scattered areas of farmed land. Finally, beyond the
last of the bamboo and rhododendron woodland, the valley narrows at the entrance
to the world of ice and snow that is the Annapurna Sanctuary. Throughout the
walk-in, there are always outstanding panoramas of the high peaks to the north
and the contrast of the rice-fields and villages with the snow peaks above makes
for very picturesque trekking indeed. From Poon Hill above Ghorepani the dawn
views of Dhaulagiri and nearby Tukuche Peak are legendary.
Annapurna Circuit-21 Days Lodge Trek
The classic Annapurna Circuit trek first became inaccessible to the world of adventure travelers as recently as 1977, when the Nepalese Government derestricted the Manang Valley , which had previously been closed on account of its proximity to the Tibetan border. Providing a combination of spectacular high mountain scenery, picturesque lowland farms and villages, a wealth of cultural interest and a challenging pass crossing, the Annapurna Circuit trek is justifiably popular. Having carefully reworked the itinerary, we can now offer this world-famous trek within a 3-week period. After a sightseeing day at colorful Kathmandu, we start out from Besisahar, ascending the surprisingly wild and unspoiled Marsyangdi Valley to reach the north side of the Annapurna Massif. In terms of its sheer scale, the valley of the Marsyangdi is surpassed only by the valley of the Kali Gandaki that we trek through on the second part of this exceptional trip.
Throughout our walk, we enjoy regular contact with friendly villagers, as well as ever-changing panoramas of some of the world's greatest peaks, including Manaslu and Annapurnas. Even from Pokhara, the views are tremendous, with Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I and Manaslu dominating the northern skyline. Traveling from the Hindu-dominated farmland of Nepal 's "middle hills" into the high alpine world on the north side of the Annapurnas, which is the domain of Tibetan Buddhism, this trip also, offers exposure to the whole range of trekking environments for which Nepal is famous. Beyond the Tibetan Buddhist village of Manang , the high point of the trip is reached after a stamina-sapping ascent to the Thorung La (5416m.).
We then descend to the deep valley of Kali Gandaki , where a wealth of new experiences awaits us – the first of which is the bizarre collection of temples at Muktinath, at the base of the pass. Trekking through the Kali Gandaki Valley for 4 quite leisurely days, we then climb to cross the ridge at Ghorepani and make the traditional excursion to Poon Hill for spectacular dawn views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas. Finally, arriving at Pokhara second tourism city of Nepal , there is time to enjoy the splendid with its magical views of the Annapurnas, reflected in the waters of Phewa Lake ( Taal ).

The heart of Annapurna region has a power of magnetic attraction against trekker's still remains secret of the trekkers though this region is most frequented by trekkers. The secluded place hidden behind the massive of Annapurna ranges is one of the most speculative vantage points of the region. The panoramic views it offers are beyond the expression of ones of words. The majestic Dhaulagiri , 8,167m. Which is the seventh highest mountain of the world and other famous peaks Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Fish-tail, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna IV, III, Dampus Peak, Mana Pathi Peak, Annapurna Fang, all stand up in line surrounded with the permanent snow. Particularly during the spring season the place promises to enrich your spirit by the glow of various flowers found only in this region. The trail to this track is mainly dominant by the rhododendron, which blooms in spring.
Another attraction for the trekkers to visit this place is the open arms of locals and there strong believes on colorful cultural traditions among different cultural people. In every year there is celebrating two famous festivals. All the locals gathering together on the top of the ridge once in the month of March & April and another in the month of July & August. The ritual follows as per the tradition. In the first case the locals slain Yak and drink the blood while it is hot as they believe it the perfect treatment for any kind of illness. Pisang Peak is the most popular among the trekking peaks in Nepal in Annapurna region offers good scope for exploration. The western flank of the mountain is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers considerable challenge. The western end of the ridge is guarded by huge rock slabs, which make it difficult to climb. Pisang peak being the truncated southern end of the mountain. This is made up of steeply tilted rock, the dip slope of which faces the valley and is well seen in this peak and the great rock slabs further down the valley.
This Peak is the most popular among the trekking peaks in Nepal in Annapurna region. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek with Pisang Peak climbing to have the taste of climbing in Himalayas in Nepal . The peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid. Pisang peak is considered one of the easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in Nepal . 21 Days The Caterer Mera peak at 6476 meters
Mera
Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal . When this is combined with the fact
that it offers unparalleled views and stunning panoramas. It makes this trekking
peak one of the most sought after mountaineering trips in Nepal . Mera Peak is
never particularly technically difficult, but there is the altitude to contend
with which makes this an exciting and challenging trip. We fly to Lukla and trek
in to the Hinku Valley over the Zatrwa La. After careful acclimatization and
some instruction to ensure that we will be safe on the mountain we set up the
Base Camp at the Mera La. From here we can make our summit bid and enjoy the
views of the Khumbu Himal to our north. Then we head north towards of the Mingmo-
La Pass, which gives us access to the Khumbu valley beyond. It also means that
we do not have to retrace our steps, giving us a circular journey and chance to
explore different regions during the trip.
There are spare days allocated in the itinerary for acclimatization and in case
of bad weather.
The Base Camp is in a stunning setting but the views from the summit are perhaps
unrivalled than from any of the other trekking peaks. The panorama takes in
Kanchenjunga, Chamlang and Makalu to the east, while to the north Everest, the
unclimbed south face of Lhotse and Nuptse & Lhotse ridge are visible. To the
west Amadablam and Cho Oyu completely what is undoubtedly one of the most
glorious views in the whole of Nepal . We take the opportunity, during the trek
in to make sure that every one is well acquainted with the technical equipment
that we will be using on the mountain and to brush up on personal skills.
Enjoy the trek and climb fully you need to be fit and walk regularly. Previous
climbing or mountaineering experience is preferred since we will be using ropes,
crampons and axes, sometimes on exposed ground, and competence on such terrain
is needed. Previous experience at altitude is not a pre-requisite, but it is
very useful
23 Days Island Peak Climbing & Trekking(6189m )
Island peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal . Perhaps the name of peak is so because from Dingboche the peak is seen as an island in a sea of ice. The summit is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The ridge rising to the south from this point leads to the summit of Island Peak . The extension of this ridge descending southwest is the part of the normal route of ascent and leads to the south Summit.Imja Tse, another name of the same Island Peak does not only provide an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of Himalayas in the Khumbu region. View from the summit is Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south add much more charming bonus in climbing Island Peak (Imjatse).
The normal
route:
The base camp of Island Peak lies in Chukung Valley , between Island Peak and
the lateral moraine of the Imja Glacier. Proper care should be taken to avoid
the possible avalanche in the event of heavy snowfall.
From the base camp, a well-acclimatized party in good conditions can make the summit and return to the base camp in a day. However, most of the climbers prefer alpine style camping at high camp, which adds the joy of climbing and helps a safe ascent. From the base camp the route skirts southeast around and base of Imja Tse and climbs steep grassy slopes and small rocky steps. We scramble up on open gully which leads between two ridges to the site of high camp on at 5, 280m.
From the high camp, the lefts hand ridge scramble across the broad open gully. After crossing a gully a steep snow and ice ramp leads upward for nearly 100 meters to the summit ridge. Climbing near the summit is a little difficult due to steep climbing
