TREKKING IN THE NEPAL HIMALAYAS

"The best trek and tours operating in  Nepal Himalayas "

Annapurna Base camp-14 days lodge trek

Annapurna Sanctuary is a high glacial basin lying forty kilometers directly north of Pokhara Nepal 's second famous tourism city, and concealed within the folds of two great southward projecting ridges of the Annapurna Massif, lies the secret mountain fastness of the Annapurna Sanctuary. So narrow is the gateway to this most spectacular high mountain Amphitheatre, Located at the head of the Modi Khola and squeezed between the peaks of Hiunchuli & Annapurna south and Macchapuchhre, that it was not until 1956 that any outsider penetrated its defenses. More recently, the Annapurna Sanctuary has become a popular trekking destination, and with good reason - It is Easily accessible from Pokhara and offers tremendous potential for scenic walks and for alpine exploration, in a splendid high Himalayan setting.

The ring of mountains, which form the rim of the Annapurna Sanctuary, includes no fewer than eight of over 7000 meters, including Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna 1 (8091 meters), Gangapurna, Annapurna 3 and Annapurna 5. The peerless Macchapuchare completes the ring, only 7 meters below the magical 7000 meters. The walk-in to the Sanctuary provides a taste of the great variety of landscape types, which serve to make Nepal such a special trekking destination. Starting out at Phedi, we encounter sub-tropical heat, pretty villages and neatly terraced rice fields.

Gaining height gradually, we enjoy several days of pleasant ridge walking with a mix of abundant forest and scattered areas of farmed land. Finally, beyond the last of the bamboo and rhododendron woodland, the valley narrows at the entrance to the world of ice and snow that is the Annapurna Sanctuary. Throughout the walk-in, there are always outstanding panoramas of the high peaks to the north and the contrast of the rice-fields and villages with the snow peaks above makes for very picturesque trekking indeed. From Poon Hill above Ghorepani the dawn views of Dhaulagiri and nearby Tukuche Peak are legendary.

 Annapurna Circuit-21 Days Lodge  Trek

The classic Annapurna Circuit trek first became inaccessible to the world of adventure travelers as recently as 1977, when the Nepalese Government derestricted the Manang Valley , which had previously been closed on account of its proximity to the Tibetan border. Providing a combination of spectacular high mountain scenery, picturesque lowland farms and villages, a wealth of cultural interest and a challenging pass crossing, the Annapurna Circuit trek is justifiably popular. Having carefully reworked the itinerary, we can now offer this world-famous trek within a 3-week period. After a sightseeing day at colorful Kathmandu, we start out from Besisahar, ascending the surprisingly wild and unspoiled Marsyangdi Valley to reach the north side of the Annapurna Massif. In terms of its sheer scale, the valley of the Marsyangdi is surpassed only by the valley of the Kali Gandaki that we trek through on the second part of this exceptional trip.

Throughout our walk, we enjoy regular contact with friendly villagers, as well as ever-changing panoramas of some of the world's greatest peaks, including Manaslu and Annapurnas. Even from Pokhara, the views are tremendous, with Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I and Manaslu dominating the northern skyline. Traveling from the Hindu-dominated farmland of Nepal 's "middle hills" into the high alpine world on the north side of the Annapurnas, which is the domain of Tibetan Buddhism, this trip also, offers exposure to the whole range of trekking environments for which Nepal is famous. Beyond the Tibetan Buddhist village of Manang , the high point of the trip is reached after a stamina-sapping ascent to the Thorung La (5416m.).

We then descend to the deep valley of Kali Gandaki , where a wealth of new experiences awaits us – the first of which is the bizarre collection of temples at Muktinath, at the base of the pass. Trekking through the Kali Gandaki Valley for 4 quite leisurely days, we then climb to cross the ridge at Ghorepani and make the traditional excursion to Poon Hill for spectacular dawn views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurnas. Finally, arriving at Pokhara second tourism city of Nepal , there is time to enjoy the splendid with its magical views of the Annapurnas, reflected in the waters of Phewa Lake ( Taal ).

 Mardi Himal-9  Days Camping  Trek

This trek is one of the hardest & secretes treks than other, starts from Phedi and climbs up to Dhampus with stunning views of Machhapuchhre (6999m) and the Annapurna south & other all family. With fully surrounded area by the beautiful greenery scene at the forest full of the varieties of wood trees & spreading the melodious songs of different birds as well as the different activities of wild animals. This is surely surrounded area with fully a private trail, which is unique as 70% of the trekkers visit the heart of the Annapurna regions. Yet we will not encounter any other trekkers on this trek for 6 days .The first few days through uphill as the trek winds along the ridge along with forests of birch, rhododendrons, hemlock and pines as like the glorious natural beauty and finally passes through right in front of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South with Mardi Khola river winding it's way through the valley thousands of feet below.

  Khayar-14 Days camping trek

This zone is known as one of the most popular & interesting trek route in west region from Kahtmandu. The heart of Annapurna region has a power of magnetic attraction against trekker's still remains secret of the trekkers though this region is most frequented by trekkers. The secluded place hidden behind the massive of Annapurna ranges is one of the most speculative vantage points of the region. The panoramic views it offers are beyond the expression of ones of words. The majestic Dhaulagiri , 8,167m. Which is the seventh highest mountain of the world and other famous peaks Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Annapurna south, Himchuli, Fish-tail, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna IV, III, Dampus Peak, Mana Pathi Peak, Annapurna Fang, all stand up in line surrounded with the permanent snow. The pattern of undulating ridges laid beyond the touching distance is sort of miracles. Particularly during the spring season the place promises to enrich your spirit by the glow of various flowers found only in this region. The trail to this track is mainly dominant by the rhododendron, which blooms in spring.

Another attraction for the trekkers to visit this place is the open arms of locals and there strong believes on colorful cultural traditions among different cultural people. In every year there is celebrating two famous festivals. All the locals gathering together on the top of the ridge once in the month of March & April and another in the month of July & August. The ritual follows as per the tradition. In the first case the locals slain Yak and drink the blood while it is hot as they believe it the perfect treatment for any kind of illness. On the later occasion, during the day of sacred-thread replacement, people believe that they will receive everything they pray for. Especially the married infertile women came to ask for the fertility of their wombs.

Dhaulagiri   Base Camp  -25 Days camping trek

Everyone is familiar with the Name Dhaulagiri which is in the western part of Nepal , probably the best spot for trekking in Nepal . From the near tropical Pokhara valley, steep slopes climb to snowcapped Himalayan giants. Dhaulagiri , the seventh tallest peak in the world, It towers high above the well-trekked Muktinath pilgrim trail up to the Kali Gandaki valley. The vast massif screens the hidden land of Dolpo to its northwest.

The trek to Dhaulagiri offers unparalleled and impressing scenery, besides it includes as you might expect in such a remote area, some very interesting indigenous people. Following the rivers upstream, ferns and forests of oak and other deciduous trees and juniper are interesting. Mountainsides of rhododendron blaze with color in the spring, and other flowers are abundant on the trail. We can found tiny alpine flowers even on High Mountain passes above the tree dotting the wind swept ground.

The popular high mountain passes includes French Pass (5360m) and Dhampus Pass (5250m/ 17,220ft). These passes offers us a great experience trekkers with excellent physical condition

22 Days Pisang Peak Climbing & throug-La

Pisang Peak is the most popular among the trekking peaks in Nepal in Annapurna region offers good scope for exploration. The western flank of the mountain is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers considerable challenge. The western end of the ridge is guarded by huge rock slabs, which make it difficult to climb. A German Expedition made the first ascent of Pisang Peak in 1955.

Pisang peak being the truncated southern end of the mountain. This is made up of steeply tilted rock, the dip slope of which faces the valley and is well seen in this peak and the great rock slabs further down the valley.

This Peak is the most popular among the trekking peaks in Nepal in Annapurna region. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek with Pisang Peak climbing to have the taste of climbing in Himalayas in Nepal . The peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid. Pisang peak is considered one of the easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in Nepal . To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380m) which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at (5,400m) climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March. The well-defined ridge leads to the final snow slop, which is quite steep but not difficult to reach the summit. Descent is made on the same route.

21 Days The Caterer Mera peak at 6476 meters

Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal . When this is combined with the fact that it offers unparalleled views and stunning panoramas. It makes this trekking peak one of the most sought after mountaineering trips in Nepal . Mera Peak is never particularly technically difficult, but there is the altitude to contend with which makes this an exciting and challenging trip. We fly to Lukla and trek in to the Hinku Valley over the Zatrwa La. After careful acclimatization and some instruction to ensure that we will be safe on the mountain we set up the Base Camp at the Mera La. From here we can make our summit bid and enjoy the views of the Khumbu Himal to our north. Then we head north towards of the Mingmo- La Pass, which gives us access to the Khumbu valley beyond. It also means that we do not have to retrace our steps, giving us a circular journey and chance to explore different regions during the trip.
There are spare days allocated in the itinerary for acclimatization and in case of bad weather.
The Base Camp is in a stunning setting but the views from the summit are perhaps unrivalled than from any of the other trekking peaks. The panorama takes in Kanchenjunga, Chamlang and Makalu to the east, while to the north Everest, the unclimbed south face of Lhotse and Nuptse & Lhotse ridge are visible. To the west Amadablam and Cho Oyu completely what is undoubtedly one of the most glorious views in the whole of Nepal . We take the opportunity, during the trek in to make sure that every one is well acquainted with the technical equipment that we will be using on the mountain and to brush up on personal skills.
Enjoy the trek and climb fully you need to be fit and walk regularly. Previous climbing or mountaineering experience is preferred since we will be using ropes, crampons and axes, sometimes on exposed ground, and competence on such terrain is needed. Previous experience at altitude is not a pre-requisite, but it is very useful

23 Days Island Peak Climbing & Trekking(6189m )

Island peak is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal . Perhaps the name of peak is so because from Dingboche the peak is seen as an island in a sea of ice. The summit is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The ridge rising to the south from this point leads to the summit of Island Peak . The extension of this ridge descending southwest is the part of the normal route of ascent and leads to the south Summit.Imja Tse, another name of the same Island Peak does not only provide an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of Himalayas in the Khumbu region. View from the summit is Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south add much more charming bonus in climbing Island Peak (Imjatse).

The normal route:
The base camp of Island Peak lies in Chukung Valley , between Island Peak and the lateral moraine of the Imja Glacier. Proper care should be taken to avoid the possible avalanche in the event of heavy snowfall.

From the base camp, a well-acclimatized party in good conditions can make the summit and return to the base camp in a day. However, most of the climbers prefer alpine style camping at high camp, which adds the joy of climbing and helps a safe ascent. From the base camp the route skirts southeast around and base of Imja Tse and climbs steep grassy slopes and small rocky steps. We scramble up on open gully which leads between two ridges to the site of high camp on at 5, 280m.

From the high camp, the lefts hand ridge scramble across the broad open gully. After crossing a gully a steep snow and ice ramp leads upward for nearly 100 meters to the summit ridge. Climbing near the summit is a little difficult due to steep climbing

Top Expedition in Nepal

61 Days MT. EVEREST EXPEDITION (8848 m)

Even though Sir E. Hillary & Tenzing Norgay has conquered the highest mountain in the world many times ever since its first conquest in 1953. Everest is still as mysterious, beguiling and magnificent as ever. Standing incredibly tall silhouetted against the shared sky of Nepal and Tibet , this mountain has many names Chomolungma, Sagarmatha, Qomolungma or Mt. Everest . Whichever name one chooses, its mystery still lives on...

Perhaps the most colorful story about the early attempts on Everest is the one involving Captain J. Noel and his native companions. He disguised himself as a Mohammaden and made a journey from Darjeeling through Northwest Sikkim and round the north of Kanchenjunga in an attempt to reach Everest. Unfortunately, he had to retreat back short of just sixty-five kms from Everest when a posse of Tibetan soldiers forced them to turn back.

Although there are a dozen or so routes on Mt. Everest , we follow the classical route, traditionally the most reliable way to the summit.

40 Days MT. DHAULAGIRI EXPEDITION 8167m.

The Dhaulagiri Himal lies south of the Tibet/Nepal border and the culminating high point at its eastern end is Dhaulagiri l, the seventh highest mountain in the world, which towers in solitary splendor. This magnificent peak rises as a giant shoulder of shining ice and snow. It got its name from the Sanskrit word "Dhavala" which means 'white' and ‘giri', which means mountain. K first climbed it.
Diemberger, P. Diener, M. Dorji, E. Forrer, A. Schelbert & N. Dorji in 1960.

This mountain was first sighted by the British surveyors in India in the early 1800s but remained virtually unknown until a Swiss aerial survey in 1949. This White Mountain was first climbed in 1960 by the Swiss following the Northeast ridge. Five ridges buttress Dhaulagiri l and even up until the early 1980's only the Northeast ridge had been successfully climbed. Dhaulagiri is considered the most interesting peak among the eight thousanders

26 Days Lakpa - Ri Expedition (7043 m)

Lhakpa Ri is an ideal objective, remarkably positioned just across the glacier from Everest. It shares the historic route up the East Rongbuk Glacier and is climbable by a relatively safe and straightforward route. It is just over the milestone altitude of 7,000m, making it higher than anything outside Asia and is probably the most climbable 7,000m peak in the world.

The mountain is one of several peaks that line the east flank of the East Rongbuk Glacier. The summit is a prominent three-sided pyramid which drops to the East Rongbuk Glacier to the west, the Kharta Glacier to the east and falls steeply to a tributary glacier of the Kangshung to the south. The slopes from the Rongbuk an Kharta Glaciers are relatively low angled and are linked by the Lhakpa La pass (6,849m), which is just to the north of Lhakpa Ri . It was from this pass, in 1922, that Mallory and his team mates first saw the East Rongbuk Glacier, an event well documented in mountaineering annals.

Lhakpa Ri is a superb objective which should appeal to climbers looking for a 7,000m summit in a famous location. The visit to Lhasa , the overland journey across the Tibetan Plateau, the trek in the footsteps of Mallory and a climb with awesome views of Everest, are the ingredients of a very special expedition. It will also give a life-long impression of Tibet and its people and an insight and deep respect for the achievements of the early Everest pioneers.

The Expedition
Climbing Lhakpa Ri involves a similar itinerary to the initial phase of an expedition to the North Ridge of Everest. From Kathmandu, we fly to Lhasa and spend several days in what was the " Forbidden City ". Then there is an incredible journey through Tibet , along the Friendship Highway before turning south to the Rongbuk Valley below Everest. We spend time acclimatising at base camp before making the two-day hike to advance base camp (ABC), at about 6,300m.

The ascent follows a shallow, snow-filled depression on the southwest flank, ascending low-angled snow for 600m, which steepens at mid-height to around 30-35°. After gaining the crest of the ridge close to the Lhakpa La, we turn south and follow the snow ridge to the summit.

After returning to base camp, we complete the remainder of the Friendship Highway , driving along the northern side of the Himalaya range, again with views of Everest, Cho Oyu and numerous other peaks. The road eventually descends to the Friendship Bridge , where we cross into Nepal and continue to Kathmandu

40 Days MT. ANNAPURNA EXPEDITION (8091 m)

Annapurna is formed by a Sanskrit word which when broken down, would mean, "Sustenance" and "filled with". So the name would translate into "The Goddess rich in Sustenance". It was first climbed by M. Herzog & L. Lachenal in 1950. The Annapurna Himal and the Lamjung Himal stretch from the Kali Gandaki in the west to Marshyangdi in the east. Four summits make up Annapurna with the entire massif forming a barrier on the northern side of the Pokhara Valley . The main summit stands to the west of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Little was known about the mountain until 1949 when Dr. A. Heim from the windows of a Dakora aircraft viewed Dhaulagiri and Annapurna . On June 3rd 1950, the French making it the first eight thousanders' to be climbed conquered Annapurna . However, all the routes on the mountain pose severe difficulties and hence it is probably why fewer climbers have reached the summit compared to other 8000m peaks

 30 Days Amadablam Expedition (6812m)

Ama Dablam has long been considered the prettiest mountain in the world. High on her Southwest face hangs a glacier resembling a 'Dablam' - the sacred ornament box worn by the ladies in Sherpa community. It was this spectacular feature that got her the name "Ama Dablam". She lies alongside Everest in the heart of the Khumbu valley offering a superb climb up a spectacular ridge.

The route we follow begins at Lukla (2850m) and the initial days of the trek pass through the legendary Sherpa country up the spectacular high valley of the Khumbu. Much of the route on the actual climbing is fixed with no icefall or glacier to negotiate, and most of it is concentrated on the crest of a ridge. The climb is relatively safe though exposed and steep and not really a mountain for debutantes
